Cochrane Consulting - Our Standards

We have five key business operational Standards. These include Security, Quality, Environmental, Safety, and Diversity.

For Security, we place a strong emphasis on information security and are dedicated to assuring our employees, subcontractors, clients, business partners, and other stakeholders meticulously manage information, especially sensitive data, securely. This approach safeguards the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the information. Cochrane Consulting Ltd is familiar with Cyber Essentials and is registered by the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) which covers information security aspects such as GDPR.

Quality underpins our core principles of operation. Our commitment to delivering top-notch services is unwavering. To achieve this, we: Methodically plan all our client activities. Conduct thorough reviews of deliverables before release to our clients to ensure accuracy. Conduct audits across projects to pinpoint areas for enhancement. Equip our employees and subcontractors with the necessary resources and guidance to offer superior service to our clients. Demonstrate a strong dedication to continuous improvement across all facets of our business. Much of our Quality approach is based on Japan's and Deming's Total Quality Management (TQM) philosophies. For example, one of our quality standards is based on the Japanese Kodawari which translated means commitment to perfection and unwavering attention to detail. For our products and services, kodawari means going beyond the basic requirements and putting in the extra effort to create something exceptional.

Environmental. We place great emphasis on environmental concerns and sustainability, making them integral to business decisions. Our commitment extends to the continuous improvement (e.g. Kaizen) of our environmental considerations, the enhancement of our environmental performance, and the prevention of pollution and waste. We prioritise practices that reduce waste, promote resource reusability, and encourage recycling whenever feasible. Our aim is to encourage our staff, subcontractors, customers, and suppliers, to plan and do activities that minimise environmental impact. This includes reducing or eliminating travel by using technology to support communication and remote working where possible.

Safety is a core concern for our office or client based activities as well as travel. Our stance is if an activity is unsafe to do then it doesn't get done. Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) and other safety approaches will be used by our staff and subcontractors when necessary to safeguard our teams and the public. Any near-miss will be fully investigated.

Diversity. We embrace diversity in all its forms. We believe that a diverse and inclusive workplace fosters creativity, innovation, and a stronger sense of community. We are committed to creating an environment where every individual, regardless of their background, can thrive, grow, and contribute their unique perspectives to our business and clients' success.
